Read James 3–5.

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
James 5:13–15

Dear God,
My intentions today include many who are sick, in trouble, happy, and who don’t even know that all they need is you. I pray healing over the troubled. I pray comfort over those mourning. I pray thanksgiving over the happy. I pray peace over the anxious. I pray love over the hurt and angry. I pray forgiveness and mercy over the sinful, which includes all of us. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Thank you, God, for your love, mercy, and forgiveness and for being the very best Papa.
I love you, Papa.
