Read 2 Corinthians 1–4.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
2 Corinthians 4:8–10
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”
2 Corinthians 4:13
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17–18
Dear God,
I declare that I will fix my eyes on you today. There is so much pain and sadness in the world right now. Father, take my focus off those things and place it on the joy and eternal glory that you have planned ahead for me! You hold today and tomorrow. I will not worry, but rather, I will trust. I will not lose today worrying about tomorrow. I will live the glorious gift of today as if it were my last.
I love you, Papa.
