When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
Colossians 2:13-14
Dear God,
It’s hard to wrap my head around the depth of Your love for us. So many of us are hiding in the shadows consumed with shame, guilt, sorrow and pain. We think we need to clean ourselves up, get our life together and fix the broken pieces of ourselves before we come to You, but You call us as we are. You are the healer of our souls. You are the only true fix to our brokenness. You already forgave our sins. They were nailed to a cross through a man named Jesus. You knew back then how much each one of us would need Your forgiveness now. Every soul was on Your mind so You sent Your Son to save us. Help us to come out of the shadows. Help us to bring our brokenness to You and lay them at the foot of the cross. Allow us to feel Your great love and watch the waters of forgiveness clean our messes. Fill us up with Your spirit of peace as we try to comprehend the depth of Your sacrifice for us. You died so we could live. Help us to leave the darkness of this world and come alive in You, our Savior, Redeemer, Forgiver and Friend.
I love You, Papa.
