The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Dear God,
Thank you for the day ahead. Thank you for the gift of hard work. Help us all to do the work you have planned for us and bring joy out of our suffering. Help us to see the beauty around us in spite of the pain we see, feel, and bear. Help us to push back the tears and smile. Help us to push down the fear and take courage as Paul did in prison. Help us to break down our prison walls of disease, depression, addiction, grief, anxiety, or sin and just follow you. I pray this in the name of Jesus, your Son.
