Read John 17:20-26
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:20–23
Dear God,
Thank You for sending Your only Son so that I may not only know you but also be one with You and be brought to complete unity. Thank You also for showing me that Jesus prayed for me all those years ago. What a comfort it is to know that I was on His mind and that I am on Your mind! How amazing it is to hear that You love me as much as you Love Jesus! It is a love that is beyond my imagination or understanding. I don’t deserve it, and I cannot earn it, but You give it freely because I believe in Jesus, Your Son. That just blows my mind. My prayer today is for all Your believers to be one. Jesus prayed this so long ago, and there seems to be so much division now. Unite us all in Your Son, Jesus. Help us to lay down our opinions and judgments and remember to love each other as Jesus loves us and as You love us.
I love you, Papa.
