Read John 13:1-38
When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
John 13:12-17
Dear God,
Thank You for being such a great teacher. Thank You for being a living, breathing example and actually showing us how we should be treating and serving each other. Help me, Lord, to be a good student. Help me to not just listen to Your words but put them into action. Help me to follow Your example. Help me to love and serve others especially when it’s hard. Allow me to accept and receive help and love from others when it’s offered. I give You my life, Lord, with a joyful heart and open hands. I say “Yes” to all You ask. There is no one greater than You and it is my honor to be Your child. I will follow You no matter the cost or sacrifice because You already sacrificed Your life for me. Thank You for being my Teacher, Provider and Friend. Thank You for being my everything.
I love You, Papa.
