Read John 10:1-21

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
John 10:14-18

Dear God,
You are the good shepherd to anyone who hears Your voice and follows. Following You is a choice we must make. Just as You had a choice in living and being crucified for us, we have a choice of living for ourselves here on Earth or dying to our own selfish ways so that we can live eternally with You. Give me the strength to lay down my life, my ambitions, my arrogance, my fears, my hurts, my guilt, my shame, my judgements and my unforgiveness. Allow me to give my whole self to You so that I am completely known by Father. Help me to hear and recognize Your voice so that I can follow the only one, true, good shepherd. Help me to make the choice to follow You today, tomorrow, and the next. Shepherd me, Father, through this day and this life so that I may spend eternity fully known with my Father.
I love You Papa.
