Read John 8:1-30
They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” Even as he spoke, many believed in him. John 8:27-30
Dear God,
You sent Your only beloved Son to earth to save me. I cannot even comprehend that sacrifice. You let go of Your most treasured, most beloved person for me and for this sinful world. Jesus was never alone while on this planet. You were always with Him and He spoke only what You taught Him. You sent Him here to give us direct instructions on how to live forever with You and abundant love. Father, help me to to be more like Jesus. Help me in that all I do and say today is pleasing to You. Let me give all the decision making to You and do nothing on my own without listening for Your voice, Your guidance and the gently nudging of my soul. Allow me to remember and take to heart the sacrifice You made for me so that I too am never alone. Thank You for the gift of Jesus and the gift of a life of love with You.
I love You, Papa.
