Read John 4:28-54
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” (John 4:39-42)
Dear God,
You come for the broken. You come for the sinners. You pursue the people who think they are the most unworthy. You talked to this Samaritan woman and showed her that You already knew all the things that she had been hiding and running from. You knew everything and You still loved her. Thank You for that hope. Thank You for being a physician for the sick, the broken, the downcast and the sinner. Thank You for Your compassion, love, mercy, forgiveness, friendship and love. Help us to treat other people in the same manner. If we desire forgiveness, help us to give it. If we desire Your love, help us to love others. If we desire Your friendship, help us to be that friend to someone in need. You never judged. You only loved. Help us, Lord, to be more like You.
I love You, Papa.
