Read John 1:1-34
“He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:10–13)
Dear God,
You made us. You created us in your very image, and we turned to sin. You loved us so very much that you sent your only Son, our creator, in flesh, and we did not recognize Him. We did not receive Him but rejected Him. Today, I pray for those who reject God. Open their hearts and minds, Father, before it is too late. Allow them to open their hands and receive your love and forgiveness. Today, I also pray for those who do not recognize God in their lives. Allow them to open their eyes, ears, and minds to see in awe and wonder the gifts given by you daily, to hear the quiet knocking at their hearts, and to realize the opportunities suddenly opened that didn’t happen by chance. Help us to hear, receive, and open the gates to greet our Father and become His children. I pray to believe, receive, and become.
I love you, Papa.
