Read Genesis 37–40.
“When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.” (Genesis 39:3)
“But while Joseph was there in prison, the Lord was with him, he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.” (Genesis 39:21)
“The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.” (Genesis 39:23)
Dear God,
It doesn’t matter what our circumstances are if we have you! Help me to hold fast to that promise today. Help me to always remember that when things are going well, you are at the center and I should praise your name! When I am tempted to stress or panic when things are bad or feel out of control, I should celebrate and praise because you are with me just like Joseph. You will provide. All you want is all of me, so today, Lord, I say yes to you before you even ask. I am so blessed to be your child.
