Meditate on verses 1-10

Dear God,
These verses give me so much hope.  Zacchaeus was a tax collector who had collected too much from people.  He was comfortable and wealthy but curious about Jesus.  So curious, in fact, that this short man climbed a sycamore tree just to see him.  The Lord called him down, and invited Himself over to dinner and into his heart.  You never just say the words, but You show us how You seek and save the lost.  Today, I will open my eyes to see You seeking and saving the lost and the broken.  Is my reaction one of muttering or judgement or do I rejoice when I witness it?  Help me to be like Zacchaeus.  Am I listening for Your call?  Will I come down from my high place when called by You?  Help me to be so curious about my Father that I leave my comfortable sin and follow You.  Allow me to apologize for my actions that are not of You and accept the forgiveness You so freely give.  Allow me to stand proud when I hear Your voice proclaiming “This too is a daughter of Abraham.”  Thank You for coming to seek and save the lost and the broken.  Thank You for seeking and saving me more times that I can count.
I love You, Papa.
