Meditate on verses 20-25

Dear God,
It breaks me that You had to endure suffering and be rejected to save us.  It breaks my heart even more that people still reject You 2000 years later after all Your miracles, Your healings, Your death and Your resurrection.  It amazes me that You still pursue us, love us, and continue to find ways to enter our hearts, nudge our minds and quietly guide us where we need to go.  But, You gave us free will so most of the time we don’t listen to any of it!  You told the disciples that “the kingdom of God is in their midst.”  At that time, they didn’t realize whose face they were looking at!  The good news is that the Kingdom of God is still in our midst.  You are everywhere like the air we breath or like the water in the ocean surrounding everything in it.  There is no place that we can go where You are not present.  There is no place we can go that You don’t see.  There is no hiding from You.  I pray, Papa, that this generation becomes like none before.  I pray for a generation who does not reject You again.  I pray for hearts, minds and hands to be open to receive Your blessings, love and promises.  I pray for all to see the kingdom of God in our midst, to acknowledge Your great sacrifice and suffering and to worship and praise You everyday for enduring and overcoming for each of us.

I love You, Papa.
