Meditate on verses 25-31
Dear God,
There are so many things in this world that we don’t see, but we believe. We believe everything we see and hear on the news. We believe everything we see and read online. None of this is fact and most of the time it is intended to hurt or distract us. Why is it so hard to believe in You? Why do we ask for proof time and time again? We have the Bible, the prophets, the very life and death of Jesus and yet we still question. What a stubborn bunch we are! You already knew the end of the story and you knew that even 2000 years later some people “would not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.” We need faith, Father. Thank You for never giving up. Thank You for always pursuing and forgiving us in our unbelief. Help us, through the life and death of Jesus, to really experience and contemplate the love, miracles, healing, acceptance and life that You provide to us daily through His great sacrifice. Allow me to bring Your good news others so they can open their hearts to receive and believe. I feel Your presence in my life throughout my day. I hear Your quiet nudging directing my thoughts and actions. I know You have the very best plan. Help me to follow in faith to do Your work, proclaim Your love and remind people of the true reason for this Christmas season. The biggest and best gift is You and the great party awaiting us is eternity with You. All You ask is for us to receive and believe. Thank You for making salvation so easy. Help us to not complicate it.
I love You, Papa.
