Meditate on verses 15-24
Dear God,
How often are you telling us, “Come, for everything is ready now,” and we ignore You?  How often are things ready and put in motion in our lives by You only for us to think we know better, ignore Your call and mess it up?  How often do You forgive us and try again?  It amazes me that You don’t give up and walk away in disgust.  Yours is a love I can’t quite fathom.  Help me today, Father, to put away my excuses and follow You.  Help me to realize that this life You have given me on earth is just the appetizer of the banquet You have prepared for me in eternity.  Don’t let me use the excuses, busyness, worry and shame of this life to keep me from the banquet You have prepared.  Allow me to be one of the souls filling up Your house.  Allow me to be one of the people here on earth compelling others to accept Your invitation.  In this season of busyness, anticipation and sometime loneliness and grief, help us to put You first and accept the gifts Jesus’ life provides for us daily here on earth and into eternity.
I love You, Papa.
