Meditate on verses 29-35
Dear God,
We are a divided people and all of us want to be right.  Thank You for Your words showing me that Your ministry was not about religion, but relationship.  Relationship with You, our heavenly Father, and relationship with each other here on earth.  Why do we fight that?  Why does that make us uncomfortable?  Why did Jesus’ presence, healing and words of forgiveness, mercy and love make the people of that time so nervous that they killed him?  I do understand that that was Your plan all along so we may have direct access to You, but I don’t understand why we as a people react like that when we feel we are losing power or control.  We fear the thing we need most so we push away help.  We push away forgiveness.  We push away acceptance and in the process we kill our souls and become less like You.  Today, Father, I will take a look at my house.  Is it desolate?  Am I rejecting the very people sent by You to help me clean it up?  Is it full of love or hate, judgement or acceptance, shame or pride?  Help me, Papa, to get my house in order.  Help me to help others to say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” so that I may be one of those chicks from the North, South, East and West that You are trying to gather under your wing.  Help me to press on, like You, today and tomorrow and the next until we are united in heaven.  Thank You for those promises.
I love You, Papa.
