Meditate on verses 38-41
Dear God,
The Christmas season is so busy!  I find myself longing for the quiet of the new year.  There is gift shopping, party planning, wrapping, cleaning, travel preparation, decorating, grocery shopping, baking, meal preparation and parties to attend.  Many days I feel exhausted, overworked, lonely and resentful wishing I had help.  I feel like Martha!  I get distracted by all the preparations and miss sitting at Your feet to just listen.  I hear You inserting my name when Jesus said, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed or indeed only one.  Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken.”  Help me to be like Mary and remember that You are the one thing needed in this season of busyness.  Help me to focus on You, Papa, hear Your voice, listen to Your words, follow Your teachings remember Your sacrifice for me and feel Your great love.  Remind me that I have already been given the greatest gift ever and You are the gift I should be giving to everyone with a heart of joy and gratitude.  Quiet the hustle and bustle of this world and allow me to truly feel Your stirring in my heart and soul.  No more worries, no more distractions, no more resentment just time with You.
I love You, Papa.
