Read Luke 7
Meditate on verses 20-23
Dear God,
I wish our newscasts sounded like Your reply to John’s messengers.  “The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have disease are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the good news is proclaimed to the poor!”  Instead, our reports are of death, destruction, division, hatred and anger.  To say we are stumbling is an understatement!  Why are we always looking for the next best thing, the next best leader, the next best buck, the next best idea, the next best fix to all of our problems when it or rather He has already been given to us?  Help us to fix our eyes back on You.  Help us to remember the great sacrifice You made and the life Your death so generously gives us.  Help us to stop stumbling on You and start embracing our Savior, Redeemer, Forgiver, Father and Friend.
I love You, Papa.
