Read Luke 4
Meditate on verses 1-8
Dear God,
Thank you for sending Your one and only Son to save us. He experienced the temptation of the devil and overcame. He experienced the bitter taste of betrayal, loneliness, hunger, grief, pain, despair and even death, yet He overcame. The devil makes things look so easy but feel so bad. Following the narrow road of Jesus is hard and filled with sacrifices for the sake of others, yet our hearts are filled to the rim during this journey. Thank You, Papa, for making Jesus fully human. Thank You for allowing Jesus to experience all the horrible temptations of this world so we would have a path to walk with Him to You. Thank You, Father, for showing me through the life of Jesus that there is one way to make it through this life of mine. Not an easy way or a way that doesn’t involve sacrifice, but a way that leads straight into Your arms. Thank you for rescuing me from the devil. Thank You for the bridge that leads to You. Thank You for Jesus.
